This Summit, NJ bathroom (in particular the wide pedestal sink) didn't work well for 2 small children. The tub tiles were falling down and the fixtures were leaky and deteriorating. The space for the toilet was too narrow to pass code. There was no storage.
The tub and sink locations were reversed, giving enough space for a double sink vanity and more room for the toilet. The new deeper tub now gets its own alcove. By shifting the door over 12" there was space for recessed shelves for towels and bath toys. The Carrara marble countertop, marble basketweave floor, polished chrome lever handle faucets, polished chrome wall sconces and 3x6 white subway tile make the bath classic traditional. The round undermount sinks, mini glass/marble/ceramic mosaic tile border, frameless mirrored medicine cabinets, white open shelves and the bold orange paint color make it modern. Radiant heat keeps little toes toasty. Although this bath is designed for children, it can easily transition to an adult bath with minimal changes in accessories.
