The clients wanted a spa style bath for unwinding after busy work lives that often require international travel. Square footage was annexed from 2 closets to enlarge the bathroom. We offered many suggestions that satisfied both of their different preferences to create a wellness refuge that includes a soaking tub, improved grooming functionality and storage all in an environment of peaceful order.

The clients cook in their kitchen daily -- the wife is a curious and adventurous cook, and the husband bakes bread. Quartersawn white oak cabinets, quartz soapstone-look countertop, handblown glass blossom pendants, and an induction cooktop satisfied the clients love of natural materials, sustainability and a desire for a more modern, calm environment.

KITCHEN PROBLEM: The clients are highly sensitive to chemical off-gassing and odor.
KITCHEN SOLUTION: Although the clients had the typical kitchen renovation wish, the critical priority was to design a space for clients who are chemically sensitive. The sustainability focus in this project was turbo charged. The designer was deeply involved in vetting every material (especially the cabinetry), many sample-tested for client approval. As requested, the designer delivered a standing workstation at an island, improved storage, a calm neutral color palette all in a healthy, non-toxic space.
